EPC Canada is a dynamic and rapidly expanding company. It is 100% owned by the EPC Group, an international manufacturer of commercial explosives with extensive experience and expertise in storage and distribution in the mining, construction, and quarrying industries.

EPC Canada is seeking a production worker for its explosive products manufacturing and distribution site in Ontario. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for executing the production and storage plan for manufactured products to ensure goods are produced safely, efficiently, on time, and in compliance with standards. They will also be accountable for establishing and maintaining effective liaisons and collaboration with colleagues and managers at their site and across other departments, sites, and functions.

Role & Responsibilities 

-       Follow the production schedule for daily work;

-       Ensure compliance with operational, health and safety procedures;

-       Ensure compliance with product quality standards during production;

-       Participate in solving problems related to operations in the factory in collaboration with other members of the team;

-       Determine improvements to the production process and complete and update production reports;

-       Prepare raw materials according to recipe specifications for delivery, operating and maintaining multiple types of production equipment;

-       Load products onto truck trailers;

-       Maintain a safe and clean working environment;

-       Perform quality tests as needed and keep records;

-       Use and operate heavy machinery to move items and store equipment according to safety procedures in place;

-       Participate in the maintenance of the site grounds (grass mowing, snow removal, etc.);

-       Help yard staff and heavy vehicle mechanics in their daily tasks if required;

-       Participate in equipment decontamination as well as special projects;

-       Perform other related duties.

 

Required Qualifications 

-       Have experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment;

-       Have a valid “G” driving license;

-       Have good physical condition and the ability to handle loads that can vary between 5 kg and 25 kg;

-       Have no legal impediment related to employment.

Conditions of Employment 

-       Permanent position, full time;

-       Schedule of 40 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Friday;

-       Day & evening schedule rotation each week (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.);

-       Occasional availability at the end of the day and weekend and possibility of working overtime after 40 hours worked;

-       Have an interest in working in an outdoor environment with climatic variations.
